Ladakh "The Land of High Passes"

1/8

Leh along with being a dream destination is equally challenging and inspiring. It’s a place to undergo digital detox, unwind yourself, reconnect with others or just escape the hustle bustle of city life. It’s a province surrounded by two different ranges with Karakoram in North and Himalayas in South.

Ladakh is a place to visit at least once in a lifetime not only for its unparallel beauty and massive landscape but to conquer some of the highest passes (Changla),drive on World’s highest  motorable road (Khardungla), to spend a night at the largest brackish water lake (Pangong Tso) in Asia, to witness the mountain lake (Tso Moriri) which is a sanctuary for several Himalayan birds and animals, and to ride a rare species of camel (Double humped) in the high altitude cold desert of Nubra.

“I have travelled with Kshitij and Vartika for 2 years in a row now, first to Spiti (Sept 2018) and now to Leh-Ladakh-Tso Moriri (Sept 2019). Initially my husband and I were not so sure about group travel and that too travelling to difficult terrains like Ladakh/Spiti. But as their tag line goes, they have redefined the definition of group travel for us. We ended up making friends for life in both the trips and the groups were what made the trips more special and memorable.

Specifically about Leh-Ladakh: We always wanted to travel to this part of the world but considering the terrain and climate conditions and people's feedback, we had some apprehensions about travelling on our own. Post Spiti, we knew that we were in safe hands with Vartika and Kshitij. They always made sure that the group was safe and healthy and enjoyed the beauty that Himalayas had to offer.

They also craft beautiful experiences and memories - bonfire under the milky way, gazing at shooting stars, ghost story nights, crossing rivers on foot, stories from past trips, trying out the local cuisine, each and every place of stay be it a home stay or hotel were unique in their own way. One another unique quality of theirs is that they connect with each and every co-traveler, remember minute details that were shared in our previous trip to what we liked and disliked and Vartika always makes sure that we end up with few more calories after each trip with her khazana of food items.

We can't wait for our next trip with these guys!”
